POLIO in Haiti? Four Paralysis Cases Spotted In Port-De-Paix

Apparently, FOUR recovering cholera patients have been paralysed in the Port-De-Paix region, THREE of the patients died, one is hospitalized in Port-au-Prince.

So far, officials from the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), Haiti's Ministry of Health, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), are looking into these four cases of paralysis in Nothern Haiti.

They are likely to rule out polio as a cause, they are waiting the pending laboratory results.

I don't know if it's good news or bad news but...

All of the cases so far came from the same cholera treatment center in the La Pointe area of Port-de-Paix.

NOTE: There has NOT been any cased of polio anywhere in the Americas since 1994 and presently, polio is endemic to four countries: Afghanistan, India, Nigeria, and Pakistan.

Let us hope that it is NOT polio but...
